Hermann Zapf
Hermann Zapf (1918–2015) was a legendary German typographer and calligrapher who revolutionized typeface design in the 20th century through his meticulous craftsmanship and humanistic approach. He created some of the most influential and elegant typefaces of the modernist era, including Palatino and Optima, which balanced classical proportions with contemporary sensibilities.
