Ibis Text
Cyrus Highsmith found inspiration for his Ibis series by combining unlikely sources: Justus Erich Walbaum's 1919 Walbaum and Hermann Zapf's 1952 Melior. The typeface was created specifically for use in Highsmith's typography textbook, Inside Paragraphs. Designed for body text and paragraph setting, it features a robust range of six weights (Extra Light through Black) with matching italics, plus small caps, accented letters, and comprehensive ligatures (ff, ffi, ffl, fi, fl), making it versatile for extended reading applications.
