Robert Granjon

French punch-cutter, type designer, and printer-publisher who designed approximately 90 typefaces over a prolific career spanning Paris, Lyon, Antwerp, and Rome. Best known for introducing the Civilite typeface style and his influential italic types with sloped roman capitals. In Rome, he cut types for Oriental scripts including Armenian, Syriac, Cyrillic, and Arabic.
