Abordage

A free interpretation of the lettering designating mountains and isolated rocks on marine charts. The typeface draws from rudimentary inscriptions that were secondary elements on nautical maps, characterized by monolinear simplicity and numerous formal oddities. This is a revival of lettering work by marine cartographer Ange Degheest (1947-1951).
