Ubuntu Mono

Ubuntu Mono is a distinctive monospaced typeface developed by Dalton Maag as the monospace member of the Ubuntu Font Family. Originally planned to ship with Ubuntu 11.04, it was ultimately released as the default system monospace font with Ubuntu 11.10. The typeface features warm, humanist letterforms that set it apart from cold, purely geometric monospaces, offering regular and italic styles with variable font support for seamless weight adjustment. Ubuntu Mono includes both regular weight (400) and bold weight (700) variants, each with italic counterparts, plus variable font options with adjustable weight axis. The design reflects the humanist character of the entire Ubuntu font family while meeting the practical demands of terminal use and code editing.
