Ryan Serif
Ryan Serif is a display typeface from the 2017 TypeSchool Western typography course. It combines modern and classical aesthetics, with letterform curves inspired by Western calligraphy. The stroke contrast rhythm characteristic of calligraphy is a defining feature of the Regular weight, while the heavy serifs provide a contemporary edge. The typeface bridges traditional calligraphic forms with modern display sensibilities.
