Astronomer

Astronomer is a display typeface inspired by star maps from Ming Dynasty China, specifically the 赤道南北两总星图 (Equatorial and Celestial Charts). Created for an exhibition at the Shanghai Astronomical Museum, it blends Ming-era woodblock printing aesthetics with contemporary design sensibilities. The typeface merges Chinese and Latin typography traditions.
