Paul Renner
German typographer and graphic designer (1878-1956) who pioneered geometric sans-serif typeface design and helped shape the visual identity of the Bauhaus movement. Created Futura (1927), one of the most influential and widely used geometric sans-serif typefaces of the 20th century. Renner's systematic approach to typeface design and his emphasis on the interplay between art and industrial production influenced generations of designers.
