Ian Lynam

Graphic designer, writer, educator, and type designer based in Tokyo since 2005. Originally from New York with a BFA from Portland State University and MFA from CalArts. Runs Wordshape, a hybrid type foundry and publishing entity. Faculty at Temple University Japan and formerly Chair at Vermont College of Fine Arts. Writes for Idea Magazine, Slanted Magazine, and Modes of Criticism.
