A font depicting solid ground. 2021. The Terra Durante font on the maps of Venice depicts the earth. I mean, what about earth? There is no land in Venice — only water and stone. Terra is a stone: old, carved, chewed by aqua. In shape, these letters are eclectic, the gap between medieval proto-antiquas and art nouveau fonts. Their main feature is to stand straight and read slowly.
