Mano Di Giambattista
Font from the streets of Venice. 2021. Mano di Giambattista is a very ironic name. Everyone knows that the street names in Venice are written in stencil script, slightly reminiscent of Bodoni. So I couldn't resist teasing: look, the proud Venetians, the trendsetters of Renaissance typographic fashion, borrowed letters from the homeland of parmesan. But seriously, the font for maps of Venice is honestly drawn from Venetian street signs. This is a very simple capslock: uppercase stencil, lowercase with whole strokes.
