Kostro Grotesque
Handmade grotesque. 2005-2015. The Kostro family (straight, italics, grotesque) was created for the newspaper-book Alcools. I have drawn it in Pinter with the simpliest brush, as if I were cutting it by hand for the letterpress with no special tools. The typefaces were deliberately not smoothed and straightened. They don’t even have kerning, and that brings them even closer to the antique typeset. Personally this is one of my favourite typefaces.
