Acqua Aldina-VF
Variable italics, a calligraphic script depicting water. 2021. Acqua Aldina is probably the most difficult of all my fonts. It took him a year of work, and mostly manual. This variable font, drawn for maps of Venice, depicts water. In the light part, it turns into individual drops. It blurs in spots in the dark. The letters are deliberately distorted, floating, stretching. But at the same time, they never stop reading — this was the main condition set for himself.
