Spencer

Spencer is a calligraphic semi-serif type family that has been carefully designed to provide easily distinguishable letterforms that are practical in use, as well as aesthetically appealing. The typeface is named after Herbert Spencer who ran a series of legibility studies at The Royal College of Art in the 1960s and 1970s. Spencer was designed as part of a legibility study by Sofie Beier and Kevin Larson. The typeface includes 10 fonts (5 weights with italic variations), manufactured under license by The Northern Block Ltd.
