Ovink
Ovink is a rounded type family designed for great distance legibility. Named after the legibility researcher Gerrit Willem Ovink, in its early stages it was subjected to experimental legibility investigations using distance and time threshold methods. The high regularity of the letters makes the typeface suitable for running text, and the wide span of weights motivates broad usage for both display and text. Ovink is loosely inspired by Knud V. Engelhardt's work for street signage designed around 1926-27 for Gentofte, Denmark. The typeface has eighteen styles and combines scientific legibility research with practical modern applications.
