A contemporary display slab serif typeface that reimagines classic slab serif design principles through a modern digital lens. Samzara's design began with experimental sketches in 2018, mixing elements and principles from various type classifications. The final letters are based on classic slab serif forms with thick bracketed serifs, translated into digital Antiqua language. Built with heavy rectangular serifs that deliver distinctive character, Samzara is best used large for headlines, quotes in editorials, posters, and identity applications where bold visual impact is essential.
