Gerhard is a no-nonsense monospaced family, from 'Light' to 'Bold'. With slits in its joints for improved legibility and clearer construction. It takes its democratic cues from its namesake - Norway's post-war prime minister Einar Gerhardsen. In true social democratic fashion, every character gets exactly the same space.
