Lorber

Rosalind Lorber was a midcentury calligrapher and book jacket designer who did quietly distinguished work for Random House, Scribners, and other New York publishers. No one seems to know much about her, but since we found a few of her covers at thrift shops, we’ve become just a bit obsessed. Lorber is based loosely on her lettering for The Forsyte Chronicles.
