Sharp Earth
Sharp Earth is a comprehensive multi-script sans serif typeface released by Sharp Type in February 2024, spearheaded by Lucas Sharp with an international team of local experts. Developed over nearly seven years in close collaboration with script specialists from around the world, Sharp Earth covers nearly every latinized language script on Earth (OmniLatin) plus Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic, Thai, Devanagari, and Japanese. Rather than conforming to a single sans serif sub-genre, Sharp Earth brings together core aspects of disparate serif styles emphasizing warmth, pragmatism, and utility. It enables diverse language groups—Latin, Arabic, Indic, Japanese, Greek, Thai, English, and various indigenous languages—to appear graphically harmonious while remaining legible and true to their origins.
