Record
Record is a display sans serif typeface released by Sharp Type in February 2025, featuring two distinct families designed by Image Format (Johan Mossé and Quentin Berthelot). Record Laser embraces a sharp, unapologetically retro-futuristic aesthetic with dynamic width and angularity that pushes design logic to the extreme. Record Disc offers a softer, more refined appearance suited to a variety of applications. Both families draw inspiration from 1980s futuristic design and classical sources including Antique Olive Nord by Roger Excoffon and Serpentine by Dick Jensen, bringing vintage music distribution aesthetics up to date with contemporary typographic standards.
