Readex Pro
Readex Pro is a multilingual variable typeface that extends the scope of Lexend beyond Latin script to include Arabic and other world scripts. Designed by Thomas Jockin and Nadine Chahine with support from Bonnie Shaver-Troup, Readex Pro builds on the reading-proficiency research that informed Lexend. The typeface supports both Latin and Arabic scripts, making it ideal for diverse, internationally-focused applications. Notably, in October 2022, Readex Pro received a Hyper Expansion axis that allows adjustment of inner and outer space in glyphs, enabling fine-tuning for individual reader comfort. This innovative feature addresses the varied needs of readers with different visual processing capabilities, combining scientifically-informed design with practical typographic flexibility.
