Inter is a carefully crafted neo-grotesque sans-serif typeface designed for optimal legibility across digital interfaces and print applications. Originally created to improve on-screen readability for user interface text at small sizes, Inter combines geometric precision with warm humanist character. The typeface features three master designs at weights 100, 400, and 900 to ensure consistent quality across the entire weight spectrum. Text optical sizes feature a tall x-height and ink traps for legibility, while display sizes offer clean lines and delicate details for large applications. Supporting 147 languages and offering extensive OpenType features including alternate glyphs, tabular figures, and ligatures.
