Hollywood Star is a specialty typeface designed by Alexey Staroselets that recreates the iconic letterforms found on the Hollywood Walk of Fame stars. The font captures the distinctive character shapes and proportions of the famous brass stars embedded in the sidewalk along Hollywood Boulevard, paying homage to cinema history and entertainment culture. Hollywood Star features two character sets: one with worn, naturally-flawed letterforms showing the patina of time, and another with touched-up, improved versions for greater legibility. The typeface serves as both a functional font and a visual reference to this iconic Los Angeles landmark, making it ideal for entertainment-themed design, nostalgic graphics, and applications celebrating Hollywood's legendary status. Version 2 (2025) updates the original 2020 release.
