Google Sans Code
Google Sans Code is a modern monospaced variable typeface released as open-source in August 2025 by Google Fonts. Designed by Gunnar Vilhjálmsson, Joana Ranito, and Kalapi Gajjar, the font was crafted specifically to support an excellent and legible coding experience. Google Sans Code features a variable weight axis ranging from 300 to 800, enabling fine-grained control over text rendering across different display contexts and design needs. The typeface combines contemporary design sensibilities with practical considerations for code editors, terminals, and IDE applications. Supporting extended Latin characters and distributed under the SIL OFL license, Google Sans Code represents Google's commitment to open-source typography and developer experience.
