Meek Display
Meek Display is a calligraphic display typeface designed by Ryan Bugden that explores the unexpected intersection of calligraphic and typographic features. The design is characterized by a persistently oblique stress and distinctive contrast in lieu of traditional serifs, creating a bold and expressive aesthetic. Preliminary version 0.1 was released in February 2018 with four weights across Future Fonts. Following community feedback, version 0.2 (October 2019) incorporated a partial redesign refining the letterforms. The typeface is ideal for large-scale applications like headlines and posters, where its dramatic contrast and unconventional stress can command attention.
