OC Format Shards

An experimental variable display font inspired by Vic Carless's 1973 typeface 'Shatter', featured widely in British Punk design of the late 1970s. OC Format Shards violates the structured geometry of OC Format Sans Bold to create something more spontaneous, visceral, and chaotic. Rather than using consistently parallel angles like the original Shatter, each glyph in Format Shards has been sliced instinctively and freehand, giving the resulting text a less mechanical and more raw, organic appearance. The font celebrates spontaneity and breaks rigid typographic rules.
