Linea 72

Linea 72 is a multiline display typeface originally created in 1972 by Swiss designer Roland Hirter during the phototypesetting era. The typeface's distinctive aesthetic reflects meticulous hand-drawn techniques characteristic of its time period. In 2022-2023, Roland's son Thomas Hirter digitized and expanded the original design, releasing it in February 2023 in two styles: Regular and Kontur. Each character is composed of parallel lines forming the letter shape, creating a striking modern and futuristic visual effect.
