Movement
Movement is a variable typeface inspired by the movements of the human body in dance, created in collaboration with contemporary dancer Andile Vellem and Design Indaba. The variable font features four design extremes: Direct Black and Direct Thin with bound straight strokes representing quick movement, and Indirect Black and Indirect Thin with flexible curved shapes representing slow and flowing motion. All intermediate weights capture the changes of movement in time. Uppercase only with 121 characters, the typeface translates kinetic expression into typography.
