NB Grotesk-R is a constructed monoline grotesque typeface by Stefan Gandl, based on a strict diamond grid system developed for the Neubauism exhibition in Eindhoven. This raw, systematic typeface deliberately avoids optical corrections, resulting in distinctive characteristics that embody mathematical precision and constructivist principles. Available in six weights from Ultra Light to Black, NB Grotesk features 265 characters with extensive kerning pairs (5213 pairs) and comprehensive OpenType features. The rounded variant, NB Grotesk-R Neue, offers an alternative aesthetic while maintaining the same structural integrity and geometric philosophy.
