Ninna
Ninna is a headline typeface that explores the pointed nib pen through rationally drafted and perfected letterforms. Developed over three years from 2019 to 2022, each swash is designed as an illustration inspired by the Decorative Arts movement. The typeface's inspiration stems from New York City, with particular influence from Margot Lévêque's work alongside designer Paula Scher in 2019, drawing from books and street signage throughout the city. Ninna is dedicated to NYC and features intricate swashes and decorative elements that combine contemporary sensibility with ornamental tradition, making it ideal for display and editorial applications.
