Messer Condensed
Messer Condensed is a specialized display variant derived from the Messer typeface family, itself a contemporary revival of Emil Rudolf Weiß's Weiss Antiqua (1928). This condensed version features increased contrast and higher x-height to maximize typographic impact at large display sizes. Initially released in November 2019 in roman and italic styles, it was significantly refined in the December 2021 update with enhanced contrast and improved proportions. The condensed format makes it particularly effective for headlines, posters, and editorial layouts requiring bold visual presence with historical sophistication.
