Schmaltzy
An easy-going blackletter: a modern take on the genre with far fewer connotations than traditional blackletter, and a wide range of support for solid typography. Schmaltzy is to a blackletter what Cooper Oldstyle is to a Roman—Cooper Blackletter. This concept was once applied by Oswald Cooper to his Roman typeface Cooper Oldstyle, the most famous weight of which saw popular success under the name Cooper Black. Ultimately based on calligraphic hands with 8 weights plus variable support.
