Hershey-Peignot
Hershey-Peignot is a bold reinterpretation combining Cassandre's iconic 1937 Peignot typeface designed for Deberny & Peignot foundry with the stroke-based vector method conceived by Dr. Allen Vincent Hershey in 1967. Designed by Cédric Rossignol-Brunet using a custom tool by Luuse, this typeface merges classical French art deco design with algorithmic vector drawing, creating a distinctly experimental aesthetic. Available in Light and Bold weights and distributed under the SIL Open Font License through Fond de riz, Hershey-Peignot embodies the foundry's commitment to open-source typeface development in perpetual evolution. The design uniquely captures both Cassandre's modernist elegance and the geometric precision of Hershey's system.
