Phonk

A sharp display typeface featuring contextual swashes and multiple alternates. Phonk draws inspiration from J.M. Bergling's untitled 'modern alphabet' from Art Alphabets and Lettering (1914), exploring the balance between decorative/Art Nouveau aesthetic and something futuristic, while also drawing from underground and alternative press design from various protest and countercultural movements.
