Maskots

Expressive and cheerful yet sturdy and direct, Maskots emerged from a class on optical sizes at ECAL, beginning as a single-weight display cut before developing into a family ranging from Regular to Black with matching italics. At its core it draws on the narrow proportions of early grotesque models, a characteristic often associated with advertising and signage. While remaining solid at smaller sizes, Maskots excels in display use, and was designed by Jonathan Bruun between 2024 and 2026.
