Viafont
Viafont is a digital interpretation of the original Viafont, an OCR typeface designed in 1970 for Viatron OCR devices. Robert Janes expanded the original with a complete lowercase, accented characters, punctuation, and alternates. Originally released via Dinamo as ABC Viafont, it was moved to the designer's independent label in 2024 and renamed RJ Viafont. The typeface captures the geometric precision of early optical character recognition systems.
