From the foundry
Commissioned for UK comic 2000AD's 'Summer Offensive' relaunch in 1993. Born when art director Steve Cook held up a bottle of Asahi beer in Koh Samui, Thailand, pointing to the label. The angled stroke from the logo became the font's starting point, refined significantly before finalization. Subsequently adopted by MTV for on-screen credits.
