DT SS Nouveau
An elegant serif typeface inspired by Art Nouveau aesthetics, reviving a type specimen found in the Straits Times Annual from the 1900s. The typeface features a geometric base with curves and flourishes, subtle flared serifs that contrast with its wilder curves, and some uppercase letters with descending legs as alternates. It explores how Singapore's typographic history can be reinterpreted through contemporary type design practice.
