Gatch brings playfulness and generous forms to the often predictable genre of geometric sans serifs, inspired particularly by Joseph Churchward's 'Crossbred', with Futura and Neuzeit Grotesk supplying functional principles. Tension between full-round and narrow glyph proportions gives the typeface its energy, and its uni-width system allows seamless weight transitions without disrupting the flow of text.
