Publico
Designed by Paul Barnes and Christian Schwartz with assistance from Kai Bernau and Ross Milne, Publico originated as one of many stops on the long road to The Guardian's 2005 redesign. Originally named Hacienda, it was later finished for Mark Porter and Simon Esterson's 2006 redesign of the Portuguese daily Publico. Publico Banner, added in 2012, offered designers high-contrast, tightly-spaced display type in the spirit of late 1970s fashion typography.
