Le Jeune

Originally designed by Paul Barnes and Christian Schwartz for Chris Dixon's refresh of Vanity Fair in 2013, Le Jeune is named for the Parisian typefounder and punchcutter Joseph Mole Le Jeune, a contemporary of the Didot family. With the help of type historian Sebastien Morlighem, Barnes and Schwartz settled on Mole Le Jeune's famed 1819 broadsheet specimen as their primary source, creating a refined French Modern in four optical sizes from huge headlines down to 6-point text.
