Guardian Egyptian
Designed by Paul Barnes and Christian Schwartz for Mark Porter's groundbreaking 2005 redesign of The Guardian newspaper, Guardian Egyptian is the slab serif that anchored the paper's move to the Berliner format. A large family intended for editorial design and complex typographic hierarchy, it fulfills every possible typographic need of a daily paper, from serious news headlines to expressive features, readable text, and tiny financial listings.
