Canela Blackletter
A blackletter companion to Canela designed by Miguel Reyes, inspired by the long tradition of blackletter in Mexico, particularly the signage used for small casual restaurants called fondas. Canela Blackletter extends the hybrid nature of its parent design into the territory of fractured gothic forms, bringing the same personal and culturally rich approach that defines Reyes's work at Commercial Type.
