Austin

Originally designed by Paul Barnes in 2003 as the headline type for the British fashion magazine Harper's & Queen, Austin is a loose revival of the typefaces cut by Richard Austin in the late 18th century for the publisher John Bell. Barnes described the result as 'Richard Austin meets Tony Stan, a British Modern as seen through the lens of 1970s New York,' turning up the contrast and tightening the spacing for a fresh, bold look suited to the constantly changing world of fashion.
