Soft Press Pro

Soft Press Pro T his is the softer, rounded-corner version of Press Gothic Pro. The starting point was Aldo Novarese’s Metropol typeface, issued by the Italian Nebiolo foundry in 1967 as a competitor to bold condensed gothics like Schmalfette/Haettenschweiler, Compacta, Impact, and Helvetica Inserat. Though Metropol enjoyed a few short months of popularity and use in Italy, Germany and France, the others won the technological outlasting battle by moving on to film type then to computer outlines
