Skol Display
Skol Display was created in 2020 with Tátil Design de Ideias for the redesigned Skol brand, replacing LL Brown with a condensed typeface delivering greater impact. Drawing on nineteenth and early twentieth-century grotesques and wood type, it embraces small inconsistencies for authenticity: round letters like O Q D C G abandon the condensed proportions, corners are rounded like worn wood type, and a set of 50 icons is embedded with an automatic replacement code. It received a Bronze Medal at the Brasil Design Awards 2020.
