Gal Gothic Narrow

Gal Gothic Narrow is part of Gal Gothic, a sans serif whose main inspiration is Morris Fuller Benton's Franklin Gothic (1904), taking Franklin's characteristic stroke contrast into the lighter weights to integrate them more consistently into the system. Horizontal endings, smooth connections between vertical and curved stems, and round dots give it a tone closer to the neo-grotesque model. Each font carries roughly 900 glyphs with small caps, tabular and oldstyle figures, plus a variable version with weight and width axes; the name honors Brazilian singer Gal Costa.
