FRAC

The font FRAC was designed for signage and building lettering, as well as for the corporate design for the 'Fonds régional d'art contemporain de Lorraine' in Metz, France. It is a simple geometric uppercase typeface based on a seven by seven point dot grid. The dot connections are solved only with straight lines, the angles are sharp-edged and the open ends are cut abruptly. The focus was on using as few connections as possible with the greatest possible independence and recognizability of each letter. The FRAC font followed the principle of early CAD fonts (Computer Aided Design).
