Bricolage Grotesque
Bricolage Grotesque is a free and open-source variable font blending French attitude with British mannerisms across three axes: weight, width, and optical size. Mathieu Triay, a French design technologist based in London, created this font to express his hybrid cultural identity and experience of cross-cultural displacement. The design draws from historical sources like Antique Olive (French) and Grotesque series by Stephenson Blake (British), combining technical precision with personal feeling to create a distinctive typeface suitable for display and editorial applications.
