Kurt

Kurt is inspired by a logotype designed in the 1960s by Kurt Hauert “chaussures au centre”, professor at the AGS Basel, as well as a close essay by Helmut Schmid in 1964 when Hauert was his professor. It too in the same weight, rather thin, some letters of which are published in design is attitude. In 2004, this type studies will be used as a basis for an “aino” logotype. He wrote about the “chaussures au centre” logotype: “the logomark that hauert designed in the 1960s, has the basic forms that we tried to achieve in the graphic design class.” These forms can in fact be found in grotesk essays that predate the modernist Neue Haas Grotesk and Univers published around 1957, and which show a synthesis of the principles of calligraphy with the idea of a standardised lineal.
